TRTF1 Episode1: Schooling & Education (ENGLISH)

My dream is to be a Formula 1 driver Talking about education, is so important of a factor on on the young, on the boy, on the child that dedicates his life to sports. I told Emmo from the beginning, when he was 6 years old and started driving, I told him if you don’t do well in school, we stop the sport. School is culture, culture creates your character, knowing things on a wider vision of everything in life, and that, you can apply and use in many different situations of the sport. But to me, if he doesn’t do well in school he knows I stop the sport, and that’s a fact and that’s a challenge, and when Emmo started going on trips, well when Emmo started traveling because a lot of races are outside of Florida, a lot of races are sometimes in Europe, in South America, in Brazil that means he started missing school, and when he started missing school he had to stop. We are really very very happy with home school. At 7:30- 8:00 o’clock he starts, he goes up until lunchtime, it doesn’t matter where we are in the world, and he can keep up. With the new technology, it is very easy to be in any part of the planet and still have an education. When you go to the technical part of education, motor racing today is very scientific. The numbers play a big part in motor race; all the analytics, the telemetry that these kids are learning after 6- 7 years old is so important. With the school, they can have a much better perception, they can have a much better understanding, and be able to analyze, be able to think about how he can improve his driving, how he can improve the engine, how he can improve karting, the chassis, the handling and it all comes down today, to a nearly scientific setup, it all comes down to numbers, these kids they have to understand. I am very very happy the way Emmo is doing. My favorite subject is math, I’ve always been really good grades in math. My feelings about being home school are, it’s really fun, I love it for someone that travels a lot, that does a lot of sport. It’s strict for 3 hours just focusing only on subjects, no talking, and then after I do my physical training, my mental training, and my racing. When the next day I have practice, or I am going to the simulator, I think about the races I am going to do, and sometimes the strategy. Education is really good for you, and you have to have education to grow up in your life.
