[Deep Bass Music] [Deep Bass Music] The California Community Colleges, CCC is the largest system of higher education in The United States. With 114 colleges in 72 districts serving more than 2.1 million students. The California Virtual Campus – Online Education Initiative, CVC OEI was created to increase student access to high quality fully resourced online college courses. The Online Network of Educators, or at one, is the professional development unit of the CVC OEI. I always tell faculty for my college, that at one courses from the CVC OEI provide the best professional development for online instructors. A robust suite of offerings enables professional peer to peer learning to occur from anywhere at anytime for free or at a minimal cost. This model provides an equitable way to serve the needs of our 60,000 faculty. 70% of whom work part-time and at multiple colleges. Facilitating at one courses is great for my professional development as a DE coordinator too. I love learning from participants across the state and collaborating with my CVC OEI colleagues to design professional development experiences keeps me on the cutting edge of this ever-changing field. At ONE Professional Development for online teaching and learning includes online courses and certificates free online conferences, pocket PD and our Peer Online Course Review process fondly referred to as poker (POCR). The at One team brings together a unique combination of skills and backgrounds with a shared mindset for growth and exploration in online education. At one offers 13 different facilitated and digitally badged online courses throughout the year for a total of more than 80 sections offered annually. Faculty and staff also have the option to earn a certificate in online teaching and design or an advanced certificate in online teaching principles. In the 2018 – 2019 academic year, approximately 1112 faculty, staff and administrators participated in our facilitated online courses. Our offerings work together to ensure that faculty have the knowledge and skills to both design and teach high-quality online courses, that support student success. We have seen an average increase in student success of almost 5% in courses that are aligned with the CVC course design rubric. Survey results demonstrate that more than 90% of participants found at one courses to be well designed, believed they would help their teaching, and would recommend at one courses to fellow colleagues. Can*Innovate held each fall, is our Premier online conference supporting the effective use of CANVAS across our 114 colleges. At one is a gem to those of us in the CCC system. Locally, at San Diego Mesa College, we can leverage the training resources that they create and share with us. Canvas training resources online pedagogy and course design resources anything that’s new and innovative and engaging the teaching tools and strategies that they share with us all of that is stuff that we can leverage and pass on to the faculty whom we support. At one is committed to innovation and collaboration. Working together to equip and inspire educators to reach new heights in online learning. [Music] [Music] {Music} {Music} [Music] [Music}
