– Pressures that are put on you,
in terms of getting pregnant, when you get married
it’s unbelievable. Mainly in our family,
it was the older women. As soon as you got married,
you expected to have children. So I feel it’s very insensitive
and I never ask young couples or when you’re going
to have children or when you guys going
to plan having a baby because you never
know what’s going on inside of the household. Having said that,
my husband and I, we struggled to
have kids for years. I had several procedures
that were done– very uncomfortable. At 30 years old I
adopted my daughter, and she’s 24 years old now. She just finished college,
very proud of her. And I felt like a mom. And the funny part
about it is over time, she started to look like
both myself and my husband. So– [APPLAUSE] Thank you. I had an accident
at a young age and I was told I can
never have children. So the doctor kept
saying every time I go in, that you
will never, I mean, never would ever have a child. Well, I couldn’t receive that. Because number one,
it was negative. I believe God didn’t put me
on this earth to not have one. I kept trusting God. I kept asking God. I know that you’re
going to give me one child to get to my mother. I went and started
taking [INAUDIBLE].. I said, let me go
build up this body. ‘Cause God didn’t show me. I can have a baby,
I can get pregnant. So about a few months later
I end up getting pregnant. This time I had my little girl. [APPLAUSE] Then– Yeah. I had my little girl. Thank God for her. Now I turn around,
breastfeeding her, 18 months later
I’m pregnant again. [LAUGHTER] I had my second little girl. Then I turned around
and I had another baby. [LAUGHTER] [APPLAUSE] I mean, we’re gonna
be here all night. I like this. OK. Then I have seven
grandchildren. So ladies– I’m going to
give you this mic back, but what I’m gonna say to
the ladies that have been told that you can not have– you tell the Devil’s
you’s a liar.
