Today we’re going to be learning how to use
CiteThisForMe.com to reference your work. One of the most important things you should
start with is changing the referencing style to Harvard. Here is how we can reference a website. By
clicking the website button, we are now able to import the link that we used. You copy
the link, and paste it. CiteThisForMe will find all the information that is available.
Any missing information, we can add manually. Once we’re finished, we add the reference,
and there it is. Now to reference a book. Click on the book
button. You can enter the author, the ISBN number or the name of the book. You will find
the ISBN number at the beginning of a book. Once we’re finished, click autocite. It will
find your book and you can import it into your references. By pressing the copy and paste button, you
are now able to copy the references that you have compiled and put it at the end of your
document. You can use add-ons to make web referencing
easier. By selecting the Chrome add-on button, you’ll now be able to add CiteThisForMe to
your Chrome browser. Here we see a website, and I’m going to click the Cite button and
we have an instant reference which we can copy and paste into our document. There are various ways of exporting your bibliography,
but the easiest is to send to your email. Simply enter the email address you wish to
send it to and click send.
