Harlequin Rasbora – Schooling Fish

Are you looking for a peaceful schooling fish
that adds color to your tank? The Harlequin Rasbora might be for you! Hey everyone! I’m Heather with Varuna Aquatics. A few years ago I was looking for a schooling
fish for our 55 gallon nano fish tank. I wanted a peaceful schooler that was colorful
and didn’t get bigger than 2 inches. I decided to give the Harlequin Rasbora a
try and ordered a small school of 6. I fell in love with them right away. Since then I have ordered more and we now
have a school of 15. They have proven to be a beautiful fish that
is fun to watch. They are great for adding color to a planted
aquarium. Aside from a couple of Clown Plecos, they
are the biggest fish in the tank. Harlequin Rasbora are very hardy and easy
to keep. We keep their tank at 78 degrees and the PH
at 7.0. We feed them Daphnia, Bug Bites, Grindal Worms,
Brine Shrimp and flake food. They should be in a school of at least 6 but
in my experience the more the better. The tank size should be at least 20 gallons
so that they have room to school. They use all of the swimming space in the
middle and top of my 55 gallon. As far as community fish go, you can’t ask
for too much more than what Harlequin Rasbora offer. Do you have Harlequin Rasbora? What is your favorite schooling fish? Let us know in the comments! For the rest of the video I’ll show you the
remaining footage that I got. Thank you for watching and have a great day!
