GOP Rep Defends Tuition Hike: “Welcome to Life!”

michelle you can’t see is a
representative in arizona cases basically telling students who can’t
afford to extend that it’s happening it’s there quote welcome to life so right now there’s a yeah this obviously infuriates me right now
they’re is eight bill being proposed in arizona and theirs on a house committee
has already approved this bill uh… that would require all students
who go to the public colleges and universities to pay uh… a minimum
tuition of two thousand dollars even f uh… their financial aid covers
their tuition even if they capital for the tuition you gotta pay at least two thousand
dollars students went to this uh… committee meeting to protest it and as they’re protesting it addis
representative michelle you ganti is like whatever yes tough nights like that i
did i can’t do anything about it this is
like if you can afford educational airport you can afford it he should have
been born to respects yeah that’s how i really thought i had uh… this is similar to they were there
was talk recently in the past year when we’ve been debating on a national level nowhere more of the tax burden should
fall and he’s on proxy has a lot of people are saying what how dare these
people making fourteen thousand dollars a year they’ll pay any taxes they should
have a stake in the game yes already losing the game let me just let them
continue at the level that now you’re totally right about that and
add that’s exactly what i thought about right thinking about taxing the people who
have so much money despair so much plays fair that they’re spending
their money on white birch for their fire uh… for their fireplaces rate that
that’s a story we did on creating a temporary younger spending like
thousands of dollars to have the special would ship to them so they can burn it
because it has like a better aroma and has a better like flame singers burning
piles of money and that’s right exactly uh… concertizing those people would were trained in like basically transfer the cost of college
students who can’t afford kena for their education white male student loan debt
is at one trillion dollars ok it has already passed credit card debt in this
country the middle-class and working-class is really struggling more
than ever before and it to know that you have this kind of like nonchalant attitude toward it and you
just don’t care at all it’s makes me sick to my stomach welcome the life yap
i would love to see what this representative with think if she were a
college student right herself so she was at one point but i
doubt she had to worry about where the money was coming from school a couple of of little notes i don’t know
if it’s actually in this story but i’ve been reading more about this issue and
there a couple of interesting things one uh… that student athletes can be
exempted from the two thousand dollars out three-year they might have some good
justification for that but i think it’s interesting and also apparently in
arizona’s constitution the state constitution it requires that higher
education bs inexpensive as possible as free as possible so that doesn’t mean
that they can’t force thirty-some charge but her actions certainly go against for the expressed will of the
constitution well even republicans are they only care
about the constitutional it’s convenient to them rights but i would like to make a deal
with me constituents of michelle again seeing the scottsdale region and arizona if they could certain
just vote for out of office this year i will personally center postcard inside
it with my name what one off that would be awesome the akka month plus got silly guy to get
it together coming to a congressional district near you beyond these college students like this
is why did it they’ve become more politically active and i hope they
continue to come more politically active go to the polls both is represented as a
kind of office they do not belong there at this moment does not care about you
she does not want to represent you secret for months the future well means
you will get to the character you are not the two thousand dollars to pay for higher education here in private colleges these are
public universities that aren’t there because they’re meant
to be affordable but in this case they’re not affordable
home some students every when you think about that
demographic the you mentioned before the demographic that only makes about
fourteen thousand dollars a year how do you spend three thousand dollars on
higher at and in response to the land of
opportunity will be given everyone a chance right education is supposed to be
the great equalizer and even have the access to it
