[Chancellor Mary Hensley, Ed. D. speaking] Welcome to the 2019 Blinn College Foundation Endowed Scholarship Luncheon. It’s such a pleasure to look out into the audience today and see so many friends and so many alumni of Blinn College. It’s through your enthusiastic support that we have events like this where we can come together and celebrate our educational programs that you have allowed us to have at this college. We’re here to celebrate the addition of 10 new endowed scholarships and we are also going to unveil a one-of-a-kind, commissioned painting of Blinn’s historic Old Main building. This painting celebrates Blinn’s proud history of service to our community. It is through your gifts that you have helped to create this beautiful work of art that is going to be treasured for the remainder of Blinn’s history with affection by all. [Taylor Montgomery speaking] I applied to many colleges, but the one thing that really appealed to me was the opening of the new Blinn Campus at RELLIS which is part of the A&M University System. The idea of being part of something so new and innovative is what sold me on Blinn College. From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank every single person that makes Blinn College possible. I will forever be grateful for the opportunity you gave me to get my education and pursue my dreams, so that one day I can make a difference too.
