EDUCATE OUT OF POVERTY | ASSISTANCE IN LIEU OF STUDENT LOANS

October 7, 2019 5 By Ronny Jaskolski

Happy Monday. we were preparing for hurricane
Barry and all we got was rain very little rain poured down raining
yesterday for about well I was in it for about ten minutes then it poured down
Friday night yesterday was Sunday we got hard raining a little bit
Saturday so we really we were really really blessed and a lot of people on
our in our local area on Facebook was complaining about the meteorologist and
then this other lady who was a preacher she posed and she said y’all complaining
about the meteorologist got it wrong you forgot you prayed to God and your prayers
were answered so you know we’re always trying to blame somebody thank God it
could have been a whole lot worse but they did say we’re under a flash flood
watch and warning or whatever until four or five o’clock but I’m on my way to work
now it’s not even raining but I want to come over here I’m not
gonna be long welcome all my new subscribers all the people that’s commenting for the first time hey yall Nice to have you here it’s ALL Love I KNOW that sometimes I
can be boring I talk about stuff that no one really want to
hear but it may help one person so hey like I said if I help one I’m GOOD
but any way, I want to talk about something and I had hinted about it or
spoke on it briefly and especially for young OR old, it don’t matter anybody that’s single with kids and you’re in school well let me
tell my story I started school right out of high school I went to work for a
while but then I went back to school and so when I went back to school the second
time I got student loans and I worked I worked a part-time and a full-time job
and by the time I graduated with my degree I had my son and then the place while I was out of
maternity leave the job I was working we found out that the store was closing
so and those years as a single parent I
know I qualified for some kind of government assistance but I was too
proud so instead of getting government assistance I got loans so here I am now 19 years after Graduating and still paying for those student loans so my
message to anybody I’m not going to make it long but just get brief and straight
to the point use federal assistance ie SNAP benefits I think they call it food
stamps housing assistance if you need somewhere to live just about everybody do unless you’re
fortunate enough to be left some property or whatever child care whatever
benefits are available don’t use them as a crutch use them as a bridge to get you
to your next destination because you know what the only way out of poverty is
education and I remember we had a professor released but we had to write
an article and in the article was how do you get out of poverty and I you know that
was my paper the only way out of poverty is education you know a lot of times if
you were born into a family that’s wealthy your family got businesses you
got trust funds and things like that but ordinary people don’t have that so you know
you have to educate yourself out of poverty
and by any means necessary any Legal means necessary! I don’t mean go out
selling drugs and get yourself in trouble because guess what the little
Pell grant you can get once you get a drug conviction you can no longer
get any kind of federal assistance to complete your education so do what you
can do legally if you’re selling frozen cooks man one time you know like I
told you yall my first vehicle that I purchased the first car I drove was my
mom’s because she never drove but the first car that I
actually drove it was my mom’s car we kept a family car even when my dad passed
my mama couldn’t drive but my little sister when she married and left I
drove it when my brother came from Chicago he drove it so then when he came I just
bought my own vehicle but I got that selling frozen cups Little
Debbie Cakes pickles okay and then so in the meantime what I did to try to make a
little extra money man, I would throw news not, not newspapers telephone books
yeah I had me a little telephone book Route. I had all my nieces and nephews helping me
so you know hard work pays off in the end but like I’m back to what this was originally about
this was originally about if you qualify and you need
public assistance to help you to complete your education by all means
necessary that’s what it’s for it’s there to use as a bridge to get you
from one destination to the other do not use it as a crutch do not get stuck in
thatt mentality where I can make a little money and look how there it will seems as if you are prospering but it’s really not you never prospering when you are
having to depend on somebody else to take care of you
true success is being able to take care for of I Just want to put that out there I don’t I know I don’t get a lot of views I was looking at my
analytics I don’t get a lot of views from younger the 18 or 25 I’m not
interesting like that because I don’t talk about you know entertainers and
things like that that is not my focus but um when I talk about true life
inspirational motivational things that can get you to the next level if you’re
listening to me! but yeah I just want to come on and say that if you I’m a
repeater again if you qualify for any type of federal assistance and you are
in college do not forego their free help to go and get those student loans because
student loans are not free you have to pay that back you have to pay that back
so I’ve learned my lesson and when you go and work in a in a public sector you
can get what they call public loan for your public forgiveness I think it’s the name of of this I will put it in my video or down below when I get a chance to
look it up I think it’s public service forgiveness
what that means is if you’re in a government job and you owe student loans
if you pay on those loans 10 years without being late they will forgive the
rest of the loan but I think there are some limitations you have to pay back at
least forty thousand or half of what you borrowed, I don’t know exactly I don’t know
I don’t know at all but if I could talk to my young self I would have told
myself get all you can get why are you bettering yourself you know and I
remember one of my friends she went back to school to get her master’s and it was
only for a year but what she did she got public assistance until she finished her
education now she’s able to help back you know in so many ways for so many
people so we have to think outside the box um
sometimes it’s legal and it’s just assistance that’s just what it what it
is so would you rather use public assistance for four or five years or
be on housing and food stamps all of your life you know it’s these choices
that you have to make nobody is perfect we all make mistakes we all human but
we’re God’s but we you know we have to learn how to do better
you better stop wanting everybody to just give you things all the time you got to learn how to make it happen captain all right I’ll talk to you all later! Have a good Monday. Bye!
